John Henson, son of the creator of the Muppets, the late Jim Henson, passed away Friday after suffering a massive heart attack. The Jim Henson Company confirmed the tragic news on their official Facebook page:

Survived by his two daughters and his wife Gyongyi, John Henson was the youngest of Jim and Jane Henson’s five children. He was heavily involved in his family’s business operating as a shareholder and a board member, as well as a performer, frequently assuming the role of the nine-foot tall troll, Sweetums, over the years. Some of his credits as Sweetums include Muppet Treasure Island, It’s A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie and The Muppets Wizard Of Oz.
